The first half of Kalki is all about setting up what they are upto. Director Nag Ashwin made sure all characters are introduced and understood well in this part with very minimum screen timing of Prabhas. Only then he uses it in the second half to delve the audience into never before seen visuals, without missing out on gripping narration and terrific mixture of science and mythology.

Amithab Bachchan’s character is deep rooted and worthy enough to bring the Bollywood biggie. Kamal Haasan’s character has equally acquired significance. Above all, it is only the Hollywood level visuals that dominates every cast performance. Vyjayanthi movies already have a winner in hand with Kalki, while Nag Ashwin is Tollywood’s another outstanding filmmaker to watch out for, after Rajamouli.
